Christmas tree, with tinsel and decorations

In this week before Christmas, my thoughts are rambling, shifting, and not very focused. As preparations for the holiday increase, work is slowing down a bit in recognition of the season. There is still work to be done before taking a break but things are moving slower as people spend time with family and friends. The days are shorter, the nights longer and the lights on the houses have more time to brighten the evenings.

In the midst of all of this, I am moving slower due to not feeling well. Which is part of why it has been hard for me to focus and stitch coherent thoughts together for a blog. I’m not bedridden but I find it very comfortable to sleep and dream, perhaps my body’s way of letting me know that I need to slow down a bit after a busy few months.

I suspect I could write more about the holiday season but I think I’ll leave that to others this year. Enjoy the Christmas photos that my son took and a few photos I’ve taken from our hikes. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
